It's heavy enough to stay on him, but the layers provide the perfect amount of warmth. Everytime I check on him or get him up, he is nice and warm. I would highly recommend this product.

Ended up not using it. Got Vivetique hand tufted one instead which is lovely and soft for my daughter.
